Pamela has been passionate about Marketing since discovering it as part of her BSc Hons degree in Management Sciences, at the University of Manchester.
She worked for Unipart, DDB & Maritz before joining Holiday Inns and becoming Marketing Director EMEA.
She launched her career as a consultant in 1991 and has undertaken major international projects for companies as diverse as InterContinental Hotels and EMI. In one year she conducted Sales & Marketing Audits in 35 5 star hotels across Europe. She has developed a reputation for being both strategic and hands-on, is viewed as one of the best trainers in all areas of Sales & Marketing in the industry and, since first implementing it in a hotel in 1995, is considered an expert in Revenue Management.
She was Industrial Fellow at the University of Surrey, on their Hospitality Management degree course for 2 years.
She was a board member of the Football Licensing Authority (part of DCMS) for 6 years.
She was recently made Life President of the Hotel Marketing Association, after 10 successful years as its Chairman and is very proud of receiving the last ever President’s Award from the Chartered Institute of Marketing, for her contribution to hotel marketing.
