Overview
Paul’s career in property began at the Commission for New Towns where he worked in estate management, before entering the hospitality industry with Allied Domecq. He was involved with rent reviews and the internal estate revaluation of some 2000 pubs/hotels prior to joining the acquisition team to develop new sites. After a spell with property consultants CBRE where he concentrated on retail and leisure agency he returned to pub acquisition/development with Marstons and then Mitchells & Butlers before joining Premier Inn where he was involved in numerous multi-million pound hotel development projects. He is currently a director of Quant Capital Partners, a niche fund and investment management business which focuses on the hotel sector.
Paul is experienced in site identification and assessment, operator selection, financial feasibilities, and has a thorough understanding of the planning process and Landlord & Tenant law. He is skilled in maximising the performance of external professional teams, and is a strong communicator with experience of successfully promoting a new ‘brand’ to the wider property market.
Paul has an extensive network of contacts within the hospitality sphere including operators, developers, professional consultants and both private and institutional investors.
