Overview of the Business

Ann Elliott started AEMP in 2001 after an 18 year career in Whitbread where she had been Marketing Director on Beefeater and Pizza Hut as well as spending 4 years in Operations, firstly as a BDM and then latterly as a Regional Operations Director in charge of 280 pubs.

The agency now has 9 people - 4 full time account team members working on marketing projects, and 2 full time account team people working on retained PR plus 3 support team members in the office. The company turns over around £1m a year and has stayed around this level for the last 3 years albeit profits have doubled in that time. It is based in Great Horwood in Bucks.

AEMP only works with clients in the hospitality and leisure sector or those who supply these companies eg distributors like Brakes, suppliers like Enotria or service businesses like Bunzl. Clients have included Pizza Express, Yo! Sushi, David Lloyd Leisure, Center Parcs, Carluccio’s, Sodexo, Welcome Break, ETM, Faucet Inns, Cabana, Ponti’s, TRG, Fullers and the IFBB.

Ann sits on the council of the ALMR, speaks fairly regularly at industry events, is the marketing partner for Zolfo Cooper and runs regular networking events for the sector.
