Background
With a background in Hotel operations, and over 25 years subsequent experience of recruitment in the Hospitality & Leisure sector, Roddy has been responsible over the years for the appointment of many of the most senior figures in these sectors.
With a particular strength in building businesses, and in developing strategies for growth and value creation, Roddy has spent the last 5 years working with a range of companies as Chairman, Non Executive or advisor, helping them to realise their full potential.
After an early career with Hyatt International and Sheraton Corporation, Roddy founded The Berkeley Scott Group in 1984, a company that over 20 years was to become the market leader in recruitment within the wider Hospitality sector. Roddy eventually floated Berkeley Scott on AIM in 2004.
Roddy has an intuitive instinct for people and organisations, and the matching of senior people and roles in the commercial environment. He is also creative and highly energetic.
Roddy is a graduate in Hotel & Catering Administration from the University of Surrey, is a member of the British Hospitality Association and is a Fellow of The Institute of Hospitality.
